Posthumous Armorial Bearings of  Harry Coleman MacDonald, differenced for the sixth son of Kenneth MacDonald, born 8 July 1891 in Perth-Andover, County of Victoria, Province of New Brunswick, Canada, died 10 July 1962 in Worcester, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA.

Geoffrey Leith MacDonald, Castleton-on-Hudson, New York, USA, great-grandson of Kenneth MacDonald, grandson of Harry Coleman MacDonald, first son of Phillip Leith MacDonald, holds the right to inherit, rematriculate and exhibit these undifferenced cadet Arms.

Quarterly, first Argent, a lion rampant Gules armed and langued Azure; second Or, a dexter arm vambraced and gauntleted fessways Proper holding a cross crosslet fitchée Gules; third Or, a lymphad sails furled oars in action Sable flagged Gules; fourth Azure, a plumbline between two garbs Or; all within a bordure Sable. Above the shield is placed an Helm befitting his degree with a mantling Gules doubled Argent, and on a Wreath of the Liveries is set for Crest a double bitted axe Proper embedded bendways in an oak stump eradicated with a sprout fructed Proper and in an Escrol over the same this Motto “PER FIDEM PER SPEM”

Funerary hatchment of Carolyn Ann (Bohmann) MacDonald, widow of Bruce Coleman MacDonald, born Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, 17 May 1940, died Barnstable, Massachusetts, USA, 18 December 2017. A hatchment is a memorial rendering of Arms on a lozenge-shaped frame with a black or black-and-white background, depending on marital status. The hatchment above breaks with convention, displaying a single woman’s lover’s knot, usually displayed by spinsters, rather than widows. The knot is often shown in blue.

Armorial Bearings of The Rev. Gary Bruce MacDonald of Orange County, State of North Carolina, USA. Great-grandson of Kenneth MacDonald, grandson of Harry Coleman MacDonald, first son of Bruce Coleman MacDonald. Original petitioner to Scotland’s Court of the Lord Lyon for Arms in memory of an ancestor.

Arms are to be borne debruised of a label of three points Azure at the honour point during the lifetime of the Petitioner’s father (since removed). Above the shield is placed an ecclesiastical hat with one tassel on either side Sable, and in an Escrol below the same this Motto “PER FIDEM PER SPEM”; and for Pennon 120 centimetres or thereby in length with rounded end of these Liveries Argent and Gules with Azure, a saltire Argent in the hoist, bearing his Motto “PER FIDEM PER SPEM” in two lines counterchanged, the said Pennon being limited to the Petitioner and his successors in the said Armorial Bearings.
